My First Mobile Pop-Up Shop: Rolling Into Manzanita
Turning Small Spaces into Big Opportunities: My First Pop-Up Shop
Ever dreamed of running a pop-up shop but don’t have a storefront? That was me—until I turned a secondhand TV hutch into a rolling pop-up shop for Perch + Paper. I took it to Cloud & Leaf Bookstore in Manzanita, Oregon, and the day was a total win! From rolling my tiny shop through town (yep, heads turned) to chatting with customers, this pop-up proved that small spaces can create big opportunities. Here’s how it all unfolded—plus my plans to do more!
Perch + Paper Goes Mobile: My New Pop-Up Shop!
From Hutch to Pop-Up: My Rolling Shop Experiment
What happens when you mix a secondhand TV hutch, a heavy-duty garden wagon, and a little too much enthusiasm? You get the Perch + Paper Mobile Pop-Up Shop! With a few coats of paint (okay, more like three), a pegboard, some spray-painted wire baskets, and a very sore wrist, I turned an old piece of furniture into a rolling shop—just in time for my first pop-up event in Manzanita! I’ll be set up outside Cloud & Leaf Bookstore this Saturday, March 29th, rain or shine (but let’s be real—it’s Oregon, so probably rain). I’ll be cozy under the covered porch, sipping tea, and hoping you stop by to browse journals, prints, and paper goods!
